Tonight we were driving through Pennsylvania towards home in Maryland when this amazing sunset was developing. We knew that if there was an opportunity to capture something spectacular the drone would go up in the air immediately. There was nothing however until we drove around a curve on a local road near Longwood Gardens. Blonnie looked to the right and said “David you have to get this…”. Luckily there was a little pull over site right after a bridge next to this farm. What looked like a little and insignificant pond provided this incredible reflection. When I got the drone in the air I thought it might be too late because the sun was already behind the horizon but the evening had plenty to offer before the light faded completely.

I shot 20 frames and later stitched them using Adobe Lightroom, adjusted contrast, saturation and a few other details to better represent the actual scene I remembered. For a detailed description of my creative process please take a look at the guide book I have prepared.

Please make SAFETY your number one priority when flying drones, mind the wildlife and other human beings around you. Fly responsibly and enjoy!
