David Mielcarek, known in the industry as “DavidM” has been photographing, filming and editing weddings and commercial projects since 2002. He started his career in professional photography shortly after arriving to USA and deciding to move from Poland in the Spring of 2001. Ever since he’s been enjoying doing what he loves, photographing and filming people at the most important moments of their lives. His wedding photos have been published on websites like the Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Wedding Wire Blog, Style Me Pretty Blog, Vera Wang Blog as well as many magazines like Baltimore Bride, WellWed, The Knot Weddings in Style and Philadelphia Bride. In the Summer of 2014 David’s adventure with aerial photography begun when he acquired his first UAV, a DJI Phantom 2. During that summer he single-handedly created “Fly Like an Eagle“, an aerial film about Philadelphia that quickly gained publicity and was published on several websites related to the City of Love promotion and tourism as well as Smithsonian’s own map showing where it’s still ok to fly drones. According to his own words: “My experience in photography and filmmaking definitely makes it easier to utilize drones for creation of aerial images and films. I absolutely love that we can now place the camera just anywhere in the space around us, record the world from a completely new perspective and create artwork that transcends time.”Currently, David and his lovely girlfriend Blonnie reside in the State of Maryland photographing and filming weddings together. David created this website in the Spring of 2016 to bring his entire portfolio into one place online and have his own space to talk about ideas, experience and everything related to the creative side of filling Earth’s airspace with camera equipped recreational drones.
