Point Lookout, MD

Point Lookout, MD

My exploration of Maryland shores for aerial photography continues with the arrival to Point Lookout State Park. We had only 48 hours to scout out the area and most of those were unfortunately filled with rain. Thanks to today’s technology you have your own weather lab available at the tip of your fingers and sometimes it does tell you there’s a slight chance for clear skies around sunrise time. I got up early, picked my spot, arrived and waited until the sun peeked out from behind the clouds. The sunny moment lasted just long enough for me to grab the frames I needed. I stitched the image above with Light Room using 9 hdr images captured with Phantom 4. We visited the area in early April and there was literally not a living soul to be seen at the very end of the peninsula at 6am. I am pretty sure it would be the same other times of the year
